I think I have an addiction!
So the first was my regular Thursday night D&D 5E session. Our party consists of 3 Player Characters: Alease Zylvaris (Elf Ranger), Rickval (Bluedragon polymorphed into a Dragonborn, Sorcerer) and myself Scorpa Tyr (Teifling Rogue) and one DMPC: Talif Everdown (Elf Druid). We are four sessions in now and it's been pretty fun. We play on roll20.net and use discord for voice. Our DM rocks and goes with pretty much everything we toss at him. He does keep us and in check and doesn't let us go off the rails to badly but a lot does get to happen.
Session 2 had our party wake up to combat as dark fey had infiltrated the tree house that belonged to Alease and her adopted father. This would have been much better if: our bards player had shown, and if our rolls where better (we totalled it, 7 natural 1's where rolled in that session in combat). I ended up NPC'ing the bard and did a good job with him, I even got MVP for the night since I did the most consistent damage with him and had really good rolls with him. Now my own character, I shit the bed with. I did so badly against the enemies that my character was covered in this sticky, black ichor and carried away to the baddies hideout. We had been making 'bad hentai' jokes out of character and well, by the time she was being personnapped she was naked and being taken as a sex slave. Once she got to the hideout she was out of the ichor and able to search around. She found a javelin and attempted to kill her abductors with it. She got one good shot off but then was overwhelmed and raped. The party then was able to get there, after the fact, and kill the rest of enemies in the hideout and rescue her. Back at the treehouse she gave the javelin to Rickval since he's lightning based and so was the javelin. She was also given leather armour and a cloak of Elvenkind.
After that they tried to save the town of Alora and have found out that the veil that protected the town from the dark fey had dropped. After some combat the group took a rest in the temple of Sarenrae and while Scorpa was sleeping, Alease got busy with Rickval behind the altar of Sarenrae.
Sidenote about Rickval: after being polymorphed from his dragon form into an almost human form he's lost a lot of his memory and isn't the most intelligent (his INT score is 6?). He can only speak Infernal and Draconic. He has no clue whats happening most of the time and sees Alease and Scorpa as 'his people' and tries to protect them from everything.
Scorpa found out a lot of information about what was happening with the Veil and went back to Rickval and Alease with it. They have three options: Ask one of the children who where born in the city to merge with a dryad to restore the veil, do nothing and walk away or kill all the Dark Fey generals and maybe let the elves have their land back.
Talif and Alease want to just do the last bit as Alease is on the council of Elves, even though she didn't know it. She wants to return the land back to what it should be. Scorpa wants to save the town but doesn't want to have to sacrifice one of the children. She's torn. They took a rest at the White Horse Inn where Talif showed Scorpa how to cook. Sparks flew between both women, lots of blushing went down and Scorpa might have a wifey in the future.
Friday's session wasn't as fun. I'm gonna have to drop it due to work scheduling conflicts.
Now on to today's session!
My Sun and Star's MURDER HOBO GAME!
Yes very sad but I like the race. I made her a Druid and she has a raven animal companion named Nevermore. I know, original right? I was gonna name him Sombra, but it left my brain the moment I started to play and I went with Nevermore.
The other player is the person who plays Rickval in the Thursday night group. He's playing a Teifling Barbarian named Tarum who has no charisma (literally it's a 0 in the score box which means it's a -5 penalty to any charisma based check). Why is it called a murder hobo game? Because the first bit is a massive fight in an arena so the prisoners in fighting can win their freedom. We are paired up with MSAS's DMNPC (for story reasons) Orc Monk named Cum Mun. We have fought through most of it and I think only have one more battle until the other quest starts. We do get plenty of roleplay time since between the brackets we have an in game four hour rest. We get to chat to our teammates and learn about them.
Tarum is very awkward but fun. He's different from Rickval and funny. He also hates himself because of his demonic blood. I can't wait to run that again!!
Now I need to sleep.
Stay tuned for more stories.
